Founded in 1993, Global Service Corps (GSC) is a non-profit leader in service learning and oversees volunteer programs and international internships in Thailand and Tanzania. GSC is built on the participation of its volunteer participants, staff, and advisers both in the developed and developing countries of the world. GSC’s programs are grounded in a philosophy that the personal lives and activities of people around the world increasingly intertwined. It is important that we understand the inter-relatedness of our actions and the effect they have on individual health, social well-being and environmental stability worldwide.

GSC offres volunteer programs for participants form developed countries to work together with citizens of developing countries on urban and rural-based, sustainable community-service projects. The Volunteer programs with GSC provide a means for volunteers and in-country staff to gain an understanding of each others cultures while at the same time actively addressing, at a community level, some of our pressing global issues.

Explore Africa with GSC through one of our programs in Tanzania where GSC is a registered NGO.  Tanzania volunteer participants can choose from programs in HIV/AIDS Prevention, Sustainable Organic Agriculture & Food Security or Community Development. GSC also offers an International Health Program in Tanzania designed for health-care professionals, pre-med and medical students.  This program includes HIV/AIDS prevention community education and training as well as opportunities to shadow medical staff in local health care facilities. GSC Tanzania also offers a Seeds of Sustenance Fellowship program for professionals or graduate students in the fields of Health Care or International Development. Participants gain valuable international experience through their work as fellows assigned to development organizations in Sub-Saharan Africa
